Women Men

PCOS, thyroid, menopause. We’ve got you.

Irregular periods. Heavy bleeding. Hair where you don’t want it. A body that changed. These have causes, and answers.

Thyroid, PCOS, and the years around menopause.

All three run from home — a video call with a doctor, and a blood test collected at your door.

Ongoing

Thyroid

Tiredness. Weight that crept on. Feeling cold when nobody else is. Hair thinning at the parting. One blood test settles most of it, and if your thyroid has slowed down, tablets work quickly — then it is a check every few months, for good.

Worth knowing — A borderline result often needs no tablet at all, just repeating in a few months. If that is yours, we will say so.

The assessment starts this one.

12 months

PCOS

Cycles that come when they feel like it. Hair on your chin. Weight that will not move however carefully you eat. Most of this can be settled without a scan — including whether you have PCOS at all, which a lot of women have been told without it ever being properly checked.

Worth knowing — PCOS does not go away. What changes is the cycles, the hair and how your body handles sugar — which is most of what it actually costs you.

Ongoing

Perimenopause and menopause

It starts earlier here than most people expect. The Indian average is 46.6, and things begin shifting years before the periods stop. Joint and muscle pain, broken sleep and mood come up more often than hot flushes do.

Worth knowing — None of this stops the transition, and none of it brings fertility back. What it can do is make those years a great deal easier to live in.

The assessment starts this one.

If what is happening does not fit these three — bleeding you cannot plan around, pain that takes your day, choosing or coming off contraception — the assessment still asks, and a doctor still looks. Some of it needs a scan or an examination, and we will say so rather than work around it.

What happens from here

First, the reason

Blood tests before anything else. Most of what sits behind this is treatable once you know which thing you are dealing with.

A doctor with you throughout

Not just the first call. How it is going gets reviewed, and the plan changes when it needs to — always by a doctor, never automatically.

Some of it moves quickly

Thyroid can feel different within weeks. Cycles usually take three to six months to settle. You will know which one you are looking at before you start.

Not everyone needs a medicine

Sometimes the reports come back and there is no prescription to write. That is a good answer to get, and there is nothing here we need you to buy.

Why so many women never find out

60%

of Indian women who did not seek care said the problem was normal rather than an illness.

31.4%

of menstrual problems get any treatment at all — the lowest of any category. Infertility is 93.1%.

Cost and distance together explain barely a fifth of why women stay away. The rest is believing it is normal, not knowing how to say it, and nobody asking.

What it costs

One monthly price for the doctor, the reviews and the medicines. The only thing billed on its own is the blood test.

Questions

Because the label gets given out more easily than it should. Polycystic-looking ovaries show up in 30 to 50% of women with no problem at all, and a scan on its own is not enough to make the call.

It usually matters. Something that started in your teens and something that changed at 34 point in different directions, and the tests are not the same.

No. The Indian average is 46.6, and the years leading up to it start changing things well before the periods stop.

Sometimes yes, sometimes for a few months, sometimes not at all. It depends on what the reports show, and you will know which before you start.

Then that is worth knowing, and it changes what gets looked at next. Normal results are not the end of the conversation.
