Medical weight programme

9 months

What this is

Doctor-supervised weight treatment, reviewed monthly, with the metabolic testing that explains what’s driving your weight. It’s the most expensive programme we run.

Who it’s for

  • Weight that hasn’t moved on diet and exercise alone
  • A waist measurement or BMI a doctor has flagged
  • Prediabetes, fatty liver or high blood pressure alongside weight
  • Anyone who wants the metabolic cause identified before treatment

And who it isn’t for

  • Anyone with an active eating disorder — you need specialist care and we’ll help you find it
  • Anyone pregnant or breastfeeding
  • Anyone under 18

What happens, week by week

Week 0

Assessment and a full metabolic panel at home.

Week 1

Results with a doctor, and a decision on whether treatment is warranted at all.

Month 1

First review. Side effects, if any, are managed here.

Month 3

First real sign of whether it’s working. Some people stop at this point.

Month 6

Panel repeated. The numbers matter more than the scale.

Month 9

Review and a plan for what happens when treatment stops.

What’s included, and what isn’t

Programme fee

Shown in writing before you start

  • Doctor consultation and a written treatment plan
  • Monthly review with the same clinician
  • Dietitian sessions, four across the programme
  • A taper and maintenance plan at month 9

Billed separately

  • First-line panel, collected at home
  • The wider metabolic panel, only if your reports call for it — at what the lab charges us
  • Repeat panel at month 6 — at what the lab charges us
  • Medicines, if prescribed — shipped to you

If something is prescribed, we ship it to you — and we tell you what it costs before it goes out.

What the evidence says

Structured lifestyle intervention reduced progression from prediabetes to diabetes in the Indian Diabetes Prevention Programme cohort.

The 2023 international PCOS guideline states that ultrasound is not necessary for diagnosis in adults when irregular cycles and clinical or biochemical hyperandrogenism are both present.

Questions

That’s a decision a doctor makes with you after seeing your results. We don’t name medicines in public copy — partly because Indian law doesn’t allow it, and partly because it depends on you.

Weight tends to return unless the habits changed alongside. Month nine is built around that, and some people stay on treatment long-term.

Often, yes — and for prediabetes the structured programme is the cheaper and better-evidenced starting point. A doctor will tell you which you need.

Four sessions are in the fee. Additional sessions are charged separately and shown before you book them.

Then a doctor explains what’s driving your weight, and you may leave without a programme.

Nothing is prescribed and nothing is charged until a doctor has seen your case.
